Humanpolis Rokua is an international centre of expertise, the operation of which is founded on the latest findings of human well-being.
In its operations, Humanpolis Rokua avails itself of advanced well-being and environmental technologies along with research and training co-operation with various businesses.
Humanpolis Rokua is a part of the Multipolis network, which provides businesses with a well-adjusted framework for researching and testing well-being and environmental technologies.

Founded on training co-operation, the educational and training activities of Humanpolis are continuously developed and improved. These activities benefit not only the municipalities and businesses of the area but also various educational institutions located in neighbouring areas.

Rokua is an internationally acknowledged centre of expertise, product development and training, also functioning as a testing and product development station as a part of the North Finland Multipolis network

Rokua is a welcomed co-operation partner in facing communal challenges, such as improvement of public health, ageing of population, maintaining the ability to work, coping alone at home, and preventing alienation.
The basic operation principle is to be found in supporting the reinforcement of human resources.
Enhanced co-operation with various educational institutions, universities and research institutes operating in the field leads to setting up an internationally active provincial university research station at Humanpolis Rokua.
